Parent Testimonies
As a parent my biggest fear is one of my children falling into a pool or body of water and me (or anyone) not being there to get them out before something tragic happened. I knew I had to be proactive in getting them started swimming and becoming safer in/around the water. Reviewing the ISR website made me realize this was a critical program to have my 2 children in. My children are 2.5 and 1.5 years old. Both children took to the program exceptionally well and, I feel, learned a great deal in a very short period of time. I feel a good foundation for water safety has been built for my children and I will definitely continue their swim education/training until they are independent and strong swimmers. I feel ISR is a long term commitment that can benefit your most valuable possessions, your children. Well worth every dime. You as the parent must commit...for the sake of your child.

Our daughter Jenna is 3 years old and has taken lessons since she was 1. The ISR course and her instructor Janet was the best decision we could have made. It taught her to not be afraid of the water and built her confidence in swimming and floating. Hopefully she will not have to use these skills for survival but I feel better knowing she was taught the resources to use if she ever were.

September 2010, our family headed to the lake for the week to celebrate my husband Jesse's birthday. One afternoon, my husband and 2 year old little girl were playing on the dock, just fishing and hanging out. I was in the house doing laundry and he had assured me that she was fine running around out there with him. She had a rope in her hand and took off running with it while looking at him. In an instant, she fell in the cold lake and Jesse came running over to where she had fallen in. He said that she had gone down so deep that he could not see her anymore. About that time, Payton came swimming up to the top, rope in hand, and Jesse reached out to grab her. She cried for a second and Jesse responded of how proud he was of her! Payton had taken 1 beginning and 1 refresher set of lessons with Janet through ISR at this point. There is no doubt in my mind that Janet and ISR are what taught Payton the right thing to do that day. Thank you Janet and ISR!
